Will Eden Hazard leave Chelsea this summer?

Eden Hazard is entering the final year of his contract at Chelsea and has once again been repeatedly linked with a host of top European clubs including Real Madrid. It is believed that the Belgium international fee would be some where in the region of £100m.

Hazard was the main reason behind the Blues’ push to secure Champions League football next season. Check out the latest odds and coral promo code code for 2019 – 2020 Premier League season. He was on top form this season and was involved in more team goals than any other player in the top flight, assisting or scoring 31 of Chelsea’s 63 goals in the Premier League.

In Spain, Real Madrid finished the season 19 points behind champions Barcelona, and manager Zinedine Zidane will be looking to strengthen his attacking force before the start of the new La Liga season. Zidane has said Gareth Bale “does not fit” in his team plans and Hazard outshone the Wales international for goals and assists this season and almost equalled the goal return of Benzema.

Hazard’s form and consistency throughout the season has once again caught the eye and he has flirted with a move to Real Madrid all season while snubbing contract extensions from Chelsea. Hazard has one year left on his contract, meaning the club could risk losing him for free should they not sell him this summer.

Real Madrid value the Belgium international at slightly less than £100m due to the fact that he is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge. But Real manager Zinedine Zidane is reportedly pushing Real Madrid bosses to meet Chelsea’s £100m price tag to sign Hazard.

Chelsea however are in no rush to sell and negotiations over a proposed move to the Bernabéu are not expected to be resolved until after the Europa League cup final against Arsenal on Wednesday. Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, who will also have a say over his future following the game in Baku, insisted the club needed to “respect” the decision Hazard makes about his future. Hazard, could bid farewell to Chelsea fans after the final.

28 year old Hazard, who joined Chelsea back in 2012 from French side Lille for £32m has scored an impressive 108 goals in 351 appearances for the blues. During his seven years at Chelsea, Hazard has won the Premier League title twice as well as enjoying success in the Europa League. He has also won the League Cup in 2015 and FA Cup in 2018 with Chelsea.
