TAA confirms Liverpool exit

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has officially confirmed that the 2024/25 season will be his last with the Reds and that he will be leaving Anfield for newer pastures at the end of the current campaign. The right-back did not reveal his new destination, but it is widely expected to be Real Madrid, who have been linked with him for a quite a while now.

Alexander-Arnold came through the Liverpool youth system and has been at Anfield for over two decades, having originally joined them as a six-year-old.

He made his first senior appearance for the Reds in 2016 just days after his 18th birthday and has racked up more than 350 appearances for them across all competitions in the past decade.

The right-back has been part of both Premier League and Champions League winning campaigns with Liverpool, and is expected to link up with England team-mate and good mate Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants remain a marquee club, and have already secured the likes of Kylian Mbappe and David Alaba on free transfers in recent years, with Alexander-Arnold the latest addition to that list.
Alexander-Arnold has also been capped over 30 times by England and represented them at Euro 2024, having missed the previous edition through injury.
