Terriers take Celtic’s Carey on loan

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Graham Carey on loan from Scottish giants Celtic. The Republic of Ireland U-21 international will stay with the Terriers till January 2011. Carey is a versatile footballer who can play as both left back and left winger.

Blanchardstown born Carey is a product of Shelbourne’s youth setup. He joined Celtic in 2005 and had a loan spell at Bohemians in 2009. He joined St.Mirren in February 2010 and scored three goals in thirteen appearances with the Buddies.

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark was pleased with the signing and added that Carey would bring some much needed versatility to the left flank at the Galpharm Stadium.

Carey is also considered a more than decent player at set pieces, having scored some wonderful free kicks in his time in the SPL.
