Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs chasing want away PSV Eindhoven forward Ola Toivonen. The Swedish striker wants to leave the Philips Stadium this summer and Spurs believe he could be a good bargain guy, with a fee of around £7m, reportedly enough to prise him north to England.
However Valencia and Fiorentina are also said to be interested, although the former are more serious suitors than the latter owing to the Viola’s poor league performance last season.
Spurs’ first choice is Brazilian attacker Leandro Damiao, but his asking price, reported to be around £20m, is proving to be a stumbling block in the move.
