QPR hoping to reopen Dawson talks, as Spurs chase Brazilian international

QPR are hoping to resurrect their £9million move for Tottenham centre-back Michael Dawson. The Hoops had agreed a fee with Spurs last week, but the player couldn’t agree personal terms with Mark Hughes club.

However, QPR are now keen to establish contact with Dawson in an attempt to come to an amicable agreement for the 28 year-old defender. QPR boss Mark Hughes is attempting to strengthen his defence ahead of the transfer window shutting on Friday night.

Dawson present club Tottenham are on the trail of Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian midfield star Willian. Spurs are believed to have had a £11.8million bid rejected by the Ukrainian champions.

The 24 year-old has previously stated his desire to play in the Premier League and could push for a move to go through. Shakhtar won’t sell Willian cheaply though and will demand closer to £20million for one of their star assets.
