Moses signs for Latics

According to his agent highly rated striker Victor Moses has signed for Wigan Athletic. The in-demand youngster is believed to have signed a three and a half year deal at the DW Stadium after passing his medical and agreeing personal terms and is believed to have cost the Latic’s £2.5million.

Moses has been linked with some major names including Manchester United, Liverpool and even Spanish giants Real Madrid. Moses boss Neil Warnock revealed that after his sides win over Peterborough on Saturday that a Premier League side were on the verge of completing a deal.

Championship sides Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and West Brom were all believed to have also made bids but Moses would have seen a move to a Championship side as a sidestep. And Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has now persuaded the talented striker to join his side.

The striker will add some much needed firepower to the Wigan’s powder-puff attack. The strike-partnership of Jason Scotland and Hugo Rodallega again failed to find the net in their sides 1-0 home defeat to Everton yesterday.

The Latic’s are also believed to be interested in Spanish striker Ruben. The North West side were close to tying up a £7million deal for the Villarreal striker but the deal collapsed at the last minute. However reports are suggesting they could revive the deal and strengthen their attack.
