The agent of AC Milan’s Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has revealed that Barcelona are interested in securing the services of his client. The two sides met at the Nou Camp on Tuesday night with Silva scoring a last gasp goal to give Milan a 2-2 draw against the Blaugrana.
Barcelona were widely linked with Silva in the summer but the deal did not materialise as they had spent their money on other targets. Silva is contracted to Milan till 2016, having only recently penned an extension with the Rossoneri.
Barcelona are in the market for a defender with manager Pep Guardiola forced to field two midfielders in the form of Mascherano and Busquets at the back due to injury problems against Milan.
