Liverpool’s young forward Nabil El Zhar has completed a free transfer to Spanish outfit Levante CF. The 25 year old Moroccan joined Liverpool from AS Saint-Etienne five years ago, but never really moved through the ranks at Anfield and was allowed by Kenny Dalglish to leave on a free this summer in order for his career to prosper. He was originally contracted to Liverpool till 2012. El Zhar has put pen to paper a two year contract at Levante.
El Zhar expressed disappointment at not being allowed to show what he was capable at Liverpool, but said he was now looking forward to life in Spain. He had a spell on loan last season at Greek outfit PAOK.
