Lilywhites and Rossoneri to battle it out for Cherries defender in January

According to reports emerging from Italy, AC Milan are considering a move for Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly in January. The 25-year-old is out of contract next summer, and Milan think he could have the same level of success in the Italian top flight that Fikayo Tomori and Chris Smalling have had after their moves from the Premier League.

Milan are not the only club interested in Kelly though- Spurs manager Ante Postecoglou is said to be a big admirer of Kelly, and the Lilywhites even had a bid for the defender rejected last summer. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have formed a solid combo at the heart of defence for Spurs, but Postecoglou is keen to add more depth and views Kelly as an ideal signing. The likes of Liverpool,

Newcastle, Juve and Dortmund have also been keeping tabs on the defender’s progress.
As a foreign side, Milan also have the option to potentially get into pre-contract talks with Kelly in January.

The Rossoneri also sent their technical director Geoffrey Moncada to Bournemouth’s clash against Burnley last weekend, a fixture which Kelly played and helped the Cherries run out 2-1 winners.
