Hamburg swoop for Bruma

Hamburg have moved to sign young Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma on loan. The German outfit have taken Bruma on loan for a period of two years, with Chelsea having an option to recall him back to Stamford Bridge after one year. The switch sees Bruma link up with former Chelsea teammate Michael Mancienne, who also joined HSV earlier this month from the Blues.

Bruma struggled to win down a first team spot at Chelsea and spent the latter half of the 10/11 season on loan at Leicester City. He joined Chelsea from Feyenoord in 2007 and is contracted to them till 2014 after signing a new deal last year.

Bruma has been capped by the Netherlands at senior level and is a regular with their U21 squad.
