Arsenal are reportedly looking at Schalke 04’s talented Julian Draxler as a replacement for the inconsistent Andrei Arshavin. Arshavin, who arrived at Arsenal following a successful Euro 2008 campaign with the Russia national team, has looked disillusioned and disinterested on the pitch in recent months and his form has been nothing to crow about.
A change of pastures looks likely for the Russian, who once scored four goals in a game against Liverpool, and he has been constantly linked in the press with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger is considering signing the 18 year old Draxler, who has already been earmarked as one of Schalke’s talents for the future.
