Fiorentina looking to hold onto Arsenal target

Serie A club Fiorentina are hoping to hold onto start striker Stevan Jovetic, amid speculation that he could make a move to Premier League Arsenal. Jovetic is rated in the £25million bracket and will have a meeting with the Viola club president Andrea Della Valle to discuss his future when he returns from international duty with Montenegro.

Arsenal are looking to strengthen their attack this summer with the Gunners believed to have a healthy transfer kitty. Jovetic is considered a number 10, who can play off the main striker, more than a central striker.

Meanwhile, Gunners striker Marouane Chamakh is being linked with a move back to French football with former-club Bordeaux. The Moroccan striker has struggled for regular first team football with the Gunners this season and was loaned out to West Ham in January.

Chamakh was prolific in his days in Ligue One at Bordeaux and his goals earned him a move to Arsenal in 2010. However, his career in north London did not really take off and he has been on the fringes off the team for the last few seasons.

The 29-year-old is believed to be interested in a move back to Bordeaux and it is unlikely that Arsenal would stand in his way, as the Gunners look to rebuild their squad for next season.
