Fiorentina lead race for Eduardo Salvio

Argentine U-20 star Eduardo Salvio is attracting a lot of interest from major European clubs. Fiorentina, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are battling it out for the skillful 19-year old who currently plays for Club Atletico Lanus back in Argentina. Salvio can play as an attacking midfielder or as an forward and has exceptional ball skills. He has scored 4 times in 9 appearances for Argentina U-20 side before making a solitary appearance for the senior national side. Nicknamed ‘Toto’, he made his debut against Boca Juniors last year and has scored 9 times in 29 appearances for his current club.

According to itasportpress.it, Fiorentina are prepared to table a €12 million offer for the Salvio – the asking price Lanus have for their prodigy. Salvio’s agent Agustin Jimenez is already in Europe having advanced discussions with major European clubs regarding his client’s future.

Fiorentina are also closing in on Arsenal’s Emmanuel Eboue. A fee of about €10 million has been reportedly agreed between the two clubs. But Christian Panucci’s agent has stated that there has been no contact with Fiorentina whatsoever –

“There is no news on the transfer market concerning Panucci, however there are several clubs that are interested in him.There are different clubs interested, however Fiorentina are not one of those.”
