Everton have completed the signing of Steven Pienaar for a reported fee of £4.5million from Tottenham. The midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the Merseysider’s, which will probably see midfielder finish his playing career at Everton.
Spurs bought the South African from the Toffees in January 2011 for £3million, but he never managed to command a regular place in the team at White Hart Lane.
The 30 year-old returned to Goodison Park last January on-loan and enjoyed a sparkling spell of form. He scored four goals in 14 Premier League appearances and helped the club rise up to seventh position in the Premier League.
At the start of the summer Everton boss David Moyes made re-signing Steven Pienaar his priority in the transfer market. The deal took a while to wrap up, but the Scot has finally got his man.
