Crystal Palace snap up Mexican starlet

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Antonio Pedroza, widely hailed as the next Javier Hernandez, from Mexican outfit Jaguares. The Eagles have paid an undisclosed compensation amount to Jaguares for the services of Pedroza, who was born in Chester ( he is of mixed England and Mexican parentage) and was linked with a switch to Palace’s London rivals Tottenham not too long ago.

Pedroza has put pen to paper a three year contract at Selhurst Park. He spent the month of August on trial with the Eagles before signing permanent terms with the club.

Palace boss Dougie Freedman expressed delight at the signing and said ” For a very small fee we have got a great prospect who with hard work could become an important part of our squad for years to come.”
