Arsenal’s Eboue completes Turkish switch

Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has completed his switch to Turkish outfit Galatasaray. The Ivorian has moved clubs for a reported 3.5m euro fee and has signed a four year contract with the Super Lig giants. Eboue will reportedly earn 3m euros a year with Gala.

Eboue started his career with Mimosas Abidjan in his native Ivory Coast and then joined Belgian outfit Beveren in 2002. A string of impressive performances for Beveren saw him attract the attention of Arsenal scouts and he joined the Gunners in 2005. He made an average of 30 appearances every season for the Gunners and was a regular during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 campaigns. He conceded a late penalty against Liverpool towards the end of the 2010/11 season that effectively ended the Gunners’ chance of Premier League glory.
