Arsenal are prepared to offer Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner to Everton in order to lure Mikel Arteta to the Emirates Stadium. Arteta is viewed by Arsene Wenger as a player capable of filling the void left by Cesc Fabregas’ departure to Barcelona. Wenger is alsoy hoping to kill two birds with one stone- Bendtner has been told that he has no future at the Emirates and has been courted by a number of clubs including Sporting Lisbon and Sunderland, who have found his high wage demands to be a stumbling block.
Cash strapped Everton are said to be interested in Bendtner and would be open to a swap, but are expected to demand some cash in addition to the player swap.
