Arsenal agree to sell song to Barcelona

Premier League Arsenal have agreed to sell Cameroon international midfielder Alex Song to Spanish giants Barcelona for a fee in the region of £15million. There has been speculation about the future of the midfielder for much of the summer and it now seems he is heading to the Catalan capital.

Song is expected in Barcelona on Monday to discuss personal terms and have a medical ahead of his move to the Nou Camp. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently revealed that he would be prepared to sell the midfielder and it looks likely that Song is now set for a move to La Liga.

A player being linked with a move to Arsenal to replace Song is Celtic’s South Korean international star Ki Sung-Yeung. The 23 year-old midfielder is highly-rated and is now also being tracked by new Swansea boss Michael Laudrup.

The Welsh club appear to be favourites to sign the talented midfielder. Arsenal could now make a move with a gap in their midfield and money to spend.
