Adebayor rules out Zenit switch

Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor has dismissed talk of him moving to Russian giants Zenit St.Petersburg this summer. The Man City striker said in a talk with Boss FM that he couldn’t see himself playing in Russia and therefore ruled out a switch to Zenit, who have reportedly made an offer for him to City.

Adebayor spent the second half of last season on loan with Real Madrid. He said that he is open to both a permanent switch to Madrid and staying put at Manchester. Olympique Marseille and Juventus are also said to be interested in Adebayor’s services.

Man City’s Italian coach Roberto Mancini has not revealed whether Adebayor features in his plans for the forthcoming season but rumours are that the Togolese forward will be asked to leave the City of Manchester Stadium this summer.
