Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is being linked with a move to Manchester United. The Mali international has revealed that he could leave the Spanish giants this summer for regular first team football.
It’s being reported in the Spanish media that the defensive midfielder is on Sir Alex Ferguson’s summer wish list. United have also been linked with teammate Lassana Diarra, who was formerly with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Portsmouth.
Lassana is however believed to carry a larger price tag than his older namesake. The 29 year-old has been out of favour this season with former-Liverpool star Xabi Alonso replacing him in the centre of the Real midfield.
He has admitted that he could make the move to the English champions. He told media:“I am very flattered to be linked with a prestigious club like Manchester United. They are a top team and on a same level as Madrid. The Premier League is also the top league in the world, so let’s wait and see”
Diarra has also been linked with a move to French side PSG. However it’s unlikely that the midfielder would choose Ligue One ahead of the Premier League.
