Vaughan set for Leicester, as Williams join Yeovil

Championship side Leicester City look set to sign Everton striker James Vaughan on-loan. The youngster has struggled for first team opportunities at Goodison Park and a move to the Foxes would give him regular first team football.

The 21 year-old was expected to re-join Derby County on-loan after spending a previous spell with the Rams earlier in the season. That loan spell was cut-short due to an injury and Vaughan returned to Merseyside.

However Leicester are expected to sign Vaughan on an initial month’s loan deal with an option for the deal to be extended till the end of the season. Vaughan has endured terrible luck with injury in his short career but he is now hoping to stay fit and healthy to fulfil his potential.

Leicester’s Championship rivals Bristol City have allowed midfielder Gavin Williams to join League One side Yeovil Town on-loan. The midfielder spent two years at the club from 2002 to 2004 and is also hoping the move will bring first team football.

Williams has revealed his delight at the move saying: “It’s good to be back at Yeovil and get some games. More importantly, I hope we can pick up the right results as well”
