Mulumbu reveals Magpies talks

Youssuf Mulumbu has indicated that he will be leaving West Brom this summer after revealing that he was in talks with both Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur over a potential move. The Congo international originally joined Albion on loan from PSG before converting the move into a permanent deal and has now decided that the time has come to seek greener pastures.

Mulumbu told French media that he had mulled over quitting Albion earlier but decided that now was the perfect time. The 25 year old has three years left on his current deal at the Hawthorns but wants to pursue his career at a bigger club and Newcastle and Spurs, both of whom participate in the Europa League, will be able to give him that opportunity.
