Miller opts for Bluebirds switch

Kenny Miller has opted to return to the UK by signing for Championship outfit Cardiff City. The transfer brings to an end Miller’s unhappy six month stay at Turkish club Bursaspor, whom he joined from Scottish giants Rangers in January earlier this year.

The Bluebirds have reportedly paid £1m to Bursa for the Scottish hitman’s services. He is no stranger to Championship football, having played for Wolverhampton Wanderers between 2001 and 2006 and scored for them in the 2002-03 Championship playoff final at the Millenium Stadium.

Cardiff boss Malky McKay wants to reinforce his attack in order to maintain the Bluebirds’ push for promotion following the departures of Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra and saw Miller fitting perfectly into his scheme of things. Rangers also made a move to resign their former striker but their bid was not accepted by Bursa.
