McCormack confirms Hull interest

Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has admitted that he would be interested in joining Premier League Hull City. However he believes that Cardiff are deliberately asking too much money for him, in a bid to keep him at the club.

The 22 year-old cost just £100,000 when he joined from Motherwell last summer and the Bluebirds are asking around £5million for the Scottish star. However Cardiff are desperate to keep the former Rangers ace as he was their top goal scorer last season with 22 goals.

In an interview with the Hull Daily Mail he said: “I would definitely be interested, Hull are in the Premier League,”

“When you’re a young boy all you want to do is play in the Premier League, so if a club wants to give you that chance then it would be hard to turn down.

“I would probably say £5m is an over-valuation for someone who has had one season in England and done well. I joined for about £100,000, so it’s a lot of money.

“I think it’s pricing people out of the market, but if a club wants someone enough, they’ll pay it.

“As far as I’m concerned nobody has come in for me. If a team did come in for me then I would have to make a quick decision.”
