Liverpool are being linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Switzerland international midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri. The youngster has not yet been able to establish himself in a talented Bayern midfield. Shaqiri is expected to fall even further down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena with the recent arrival of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be interested in strengthening his midfield options. Shaqiri would represent the sort of signing that the Reds hierarchy would sanction. He is young, talented and would have a large resale value in the future.
