Real Madrid legend Raul to move to Qatar

Qatari club Al Sadd have announced the signing of Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez. The veteran striker chose not to extend his contract at German Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 at the end of the current 2011/12 season and Al Sadd swooped in with a offer he couldn’t refuse.

Raul had indicated that he wanted to ply his football outside Europe in order to get more time to spend with his family and football in Qatar is unlikely to be very taxing on his 34 year old body.

Al Sadd already have overseas stars in the form of Mamadou Niang ( former Olympique de Marseille player), Abdel Kader Keita ( former Lille OSC, Lyon and Gala player), Lee Jung Soo and Nadir Belhadj ( former Portsmouth player)
