Hereford hand trio new contracts

Hereford United have handed the trio of Michael Townsend, Sam Clucas and Dan Hanford new contracts that will keep them at Edgar Street till the end of the 2012-2013 season.

Goalkeeper Hanford is yet to make a first team appearance for the Bulls, while Clucas has been largely restricted to appearances from the bench. Townsend is the most experienced of the trio, having already appeared more than 70 times for the club since joining the League Two outfit from Cheltenham Town in 2010.

Hereford finished 21st in League Two in the 2010-11 season. At this moment, the Bulls are occupying the same spot in the 11-12 league table and are only five points above the drop zone.
