Preston defender moves to Scotland

Preston North End defender Brian Mclean has completed a switch to Scottish Premier League club Dundee United. The 27 year old was a free agent after being released by PNE and has put pen to paper a two year contract with the Arabs. McLean’s playing time at PNE vastly reduced after the appointment of Graham Westley as manager at Deepdale in January. He scored two goals in eighteen appearances for PNE.

McLean becomes Dundee United’s fourth confirmed summer signing, joining Mark Millar, ex-Ross County winger Michael Gardyne and Polish goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak.

This is McLean’s fourth stint with a Scottish club, having previously played for Rangers, Motherwell and Falkirk.
