Premier League strugglers look to strengthen their squad

Premier League strugglers QPR are being linked with a £7million move for FC Porto centre-back Rolando. According to the Daily Mail the Hoops are looking to sign the Portuguese international on-loan for the remainder of the season, but the Portuguese giants are keen on completing a permanent deal.

Hoops boss Harry Redknapp has already moved to strengthen his backline with the acquisition of young South Korean international Yun Suk-Young. The 22 year-old is just waiting on a work permit for his move to be completed.

The Hoops look set to allow centre-back Anton Ferdinand to leave the club before the transfer window shuts. Ferdinand has fallen down the pecking order at Loftus Road under Harry Redknapp and is in talks with Turkish club Bursaspor about a possible loan move for the remainder of the season.

Ferdinand was part of the Rangers team that was defeated 4-2 at home to MK Dons in the FA Cup fourth round.
