Liverpool have signed Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke from Aston Villa for £32.5m.
After the loss of Raheem Sterling to Premier League rivals Manchester City the signing of Benteke will surely delight the Liverpool fans.
Liverpool, triggered a release clause in Benteke’s contract a few days ago and the 24-year-old will become Liverpool’s seventh summer signing.
The Belgium international has scored 49 goals in 101 appearances for Villa after signing from Genk for £7m back in 2012.
He told the Liverpool website: “I’m very happy to be here. I came here to win trophies. I came here to reach some great goals with the team.
