League Two star makes Premier League switch

Aston Villa have officially confirmed the signing of Jordan Bowery from Chesterfield. The Nottingham born forward thus makes a big switch from the Spireites, who currently compete in League Two to Premier League outfit Villa. The 21 year old has transferred for a fee reported to be around £500,000 and has put pen to paper a three year contract at Villa Park.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has said he would have no hesitation throwing Bowery directly into a Premier League fixture despite reservations being expressed by the general public regarding his abilities. Bowery has played more than a 100 games for Chesterfield and was contracted to them till 2014.
