Tranmere striker joins Kettering as Kabba joins Burton

League One side Tranmere Rovers have allowed striker Kithson Bain join Kettering on a loan. The Grenada international has made only six appearances since joining Rovers in the summer. Tranmere caretaker boss Les Parry believes the 27 year-old will benefit from regular football.

“We have a lot of competition here in the striker department with Craig Curran, Chris Shuker, Ian Thomas-Moore, Michael Ricketts and Terry Gornell all starting in recent matches, so Kithson has been limited to substitute appearances and reserve-team football,” said Parry.

“This move will give him more experience of competitive football and allow him to get a few games under his belt. Hopefully he will return here in January and push for a place in the team.”

League One rivals Brentford have decided to let their striker Steve Kabba join Burton Albion on loan. Burton manager Paul Peschisolido knows the player well having played with him at Sheffield United.

The Albion boss revealed: “I know Steve from my time at Bramall Lane. He’s a good lad and if he’s half the player he was back then he will be a great asset to us.

“He’s quick and he’s desperate to play and get a run in first-team football again. This is a great opportunity for us and a great opportunity for him to re-launch himself as a player.”
