Premier League newcomers Cardiff are believed to be interested in signing Espanyol centre-back Hector Moreno. The Catalan club rate the Mexican in the £8million bracket, but Cardiff’s Welsh rivals Swansea have already had a bid of around £4million turned down by the Spanish club.
The Bluebirds completed the £2million signing of full-back John Brayford from Derby, while they are still waiting to hear back from Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue, on whether he wants to complete his £8.6million move.
The Bluebirds are believed to be facing tough opposition for the French midfielder’s signature, with Spanish club Atletico Madrid also showing an interest in the player.
